Privacy Policy

Depending on how you use Clankoids, we may collect or receive:

• —Your verified Google email address, Google account identifier, and Clankoids account record when you sign in
• —Local extension data such as your auth session, filtering toggle, and feed-mode preferences
• —Synced settings and rules when you are signed in, including preferences, whitelist or blacklist handles, and account tags you choose to save
• —Tweet and account metadata from supported X pages such as timeline, bookmarks, tweet detail, profile, followers, and following views
• —Derived product records such as verdict bands, daily usage totals, sampled target handles or IDs, and source tweet IDs used for product quality and account-label features
• —Billing status and Stripe customer or subscription identifiers if and when paid plans are enabled
• —Anonymous feedback messages, source labels, and timestamps if you choose to send feedback through the extension

We do not collect, store, or have access to:

• —Your Google password or X password
• —Direct-message content
• —Browsing activity outside supported x.com pages
• —Your full payment card details
• —Ad-tech profiles or third-party advertising identifiers

We use data to operate the extension, authenticate your account, score captured X content, sync your settings and rules across devices, render badges and filtering in the UI, store account labels, review anonymous feedback, and keep the service reliable. We do not sell personal data and we do not use your data for third-party advertising.

Clankoids listens for specific X GraphQL responses on supported pages and sends the captured tweet and account metadata to our backend for heuristics, ML scoring, and text analysis. Those responses can include tweet text, account metadata, and viewer-state fields returned by X, such as bookmark or relationship flags. We do not claim ownership of that content.

Raw tweet text may be processed for scoring, but it is not stored as part of your account record. We may retain derived product records such as verdict bands, source tweet IDs, sampled target handles or IDs, usage totals, handle rules, and account-label records needed to operate the product and improve quality.

Clankoids stores your current auth session and filtering preferences in browser local storage. When you are signed in, the extension may also sync preferences and handle rules to our servers so they persist across devices. Local storage remains part of the runtime state for the extension experience.

Clankoids uses Google sign-in to create and authenticate your account. We receive your verified Google email address and Google account identifier from Google so we can issue a Clankoids session and associate synced settings with you.

We do not request access to Gmail, Drive, Calendar, or other Google data unrelated to identity and sign-in.

The use of information received from Google APIs will adhere to the Chrome Web Store User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

If and when paid Clankoids plans are enabled, payment processing will be handled by Stripe. We may receive subscription state and related Stripe customer or subscription identifiers needed to keep your plan active. We do not store full payment card numbers.

If you create allowlists, blocklists, or account tags, those records are tied to your Clankoids account so they can persist when sync is used. Feedback submitted from the extension is currently anonymous and stores only the message, source label, and timestamp, unless you include personal information in the message itself.

Clankoids relies on third-party providers where needed to run the product, including Google for sign-in, Stripe for billing if enabled, and browser distribution through the Chrome Web Store. We do not embed third-party advertising or sell data to outside data brokers.

clankoids.com is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated revision date. Continued use of the extension after changes constitutes acceptance of the new policy.
